Link many of the B-town stars, actress Prachi Desai too has a lot to owe to TV when it comes to name and fame.
It is notable that Prachi, who is now dabbling into films, made her acting debut playing Bani in Balaji Telefilms’ extremely popular Kasamh Se, which went on air in 2006. Later, she won the attention from all as she won the coveted title of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in the following year, 2007.
This eventually brought in a change in fortune for her and the pretty faced soon got a chance to shine on the silver screen. Prachi made her debut opposite Farhan Akhtar in the 2008 release Rock On and then went on being the love interest of Emraan Hashmi in Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, which hit the screens in 2010. She is all full of offers and is presently working for her project I Me Aur Main where she will share the screen space with the likes of John Abraham and Chitrangada Singh.
Amidst this one might come up with a question if she will get back to TV ever. Well, the answer apparently is no. Prachi says that she has bid adieu to TV for good and has no plans of returning back. She stated, "I had bid goodbye to television, so I am not going back. But since I started from there and became famous because of TV, the connect always remains”.
Talking of her roles in the upcoming films, she said, “My role in every film is very different. I am so excited about the movies and just cannot wait to start with the promotions”.
