Vaishnavi McDonald has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Zee TV’s upcoming primetime show, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. The channel’s new offering is a light-hearted family drama revolving around the lives of two teenagers who have been brought up in diametrically opposite environments. One girl hails from the cosmopolitan city, Mumbai whereas the other is from the religious town of Varanasi. The story is about their adventures, their fears and hopes, their relationships and experiences. The story also focuses on issues pertinent to the younger generation like dating, careers, health, exams amongst others.
Vaishnavi has been a part of Zee TV with shows like Choti Maa in her kitty. In her latest avatar, she will be seen essaying the role of Shail, a mother to one of the female leads.
Says Vaishnavi, “The show will bring back memories of when you were ‘Sweet Sixteen’. It will take you back to those days when you were at the prime of your teens – a phase when youngsters fall in love, and suffer heart-breaks, have problems with their teachers and parents, experience pressures at exam time and so on. Their trials and tribulations are captured beautifully, poignantly with rare sensitivity. I am super excited to be a part of this young and fresh show.”
