Geeta Kapoor says that kids are not dancing machines

As all the series of Dance India Dance have got massive praises and hits, Geeta Maa aka the ace choreographer and constant judge for the dance based reality show, Geeta Kapoor, has turned a household name.

And after being associated with the show for such a long period of time, she very well knows the trend prevailing among the common masses who want to bag the winning title. Currently, Geeta is busy with DID Li’l Masters and she is highly upset with parents, who put pressure on their children to give their best in the show.

Chorographer, dancer and jury member of DID league Geeta Kapoor, appealed to the contestants’ parents not to force and pressurize their kids for anything. She also advised that parents should always encourage their children if only they feel he or she is inclined towards dancing.

She said, “Parents should first know about their child’s desire, putting unnecessary pressure on their children leave them mentally stressed out.

Geeta feels that parents today are more assertive by nature and hence cannot easily accept the fact about their child not being selected for the show. Regarding the vulgar dance movements portrayed by one of the child in the show, she feels that the fault lies with the choreographer, who has conceptualized the dance and not the child who is tutored by them.
