After entertaining the audience with Jannat starring Emraan Hashmi and Sonal Chauhan, Kunal Deshmukh has once again wield the megaphone and this time it is for second installment of Jannat, titled Jannat 2.
Still, many might not know the inspiration behind the film, so here we are to reveal the true fact behind Jannat 2, that stars Emraan Hashmi again but the actress is replaced with Esha Gupta.
Deshmukh has revealed recently his inspiration behind Jannat 2. The director disclosed that the Delhi University's late student Radhika Tanwar, whose stalker shot her dead on a foot-over bridge last year, has inspired the film's plot.
It was Deshmukh's realization – that how easily a Delhiite can avail arms & ammunition – that compelled him to underline this effortless-access of weapons to a Delhi citizen in his film. While talking to the sources recently, he told, "When I read about this case last year, I realised how easily arms and ammunition are available to a Delhiite, be it a stalker, a student, or even a businessman. It was then that I decided to show this easy access of guns in a Delhiite's life in my film."
