The news about Colors’ Veer Shivaji, helmed by Contiloe Telefilms, being pulled off air has created a lot of stir in town.
It got a confirmation when producer Abhimanyu Singh stated that the show will bid adieu by the end of May, 2012. Most likely, Saurabh Tiwari’s upcoming show, starring Vivian Dsena and Drashti Dhami, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon will replace Shivaji.
Where everyone is busy winding up the historical saga, show’s lead Dr Amol Kolhe is optimistic that things will change for good and the show will continue to entertain masses. He said, “I’ve got to know from internet that another show will be replacing ours but then the fans are trying their best to retain it”.
He further added, “Currently, we are working on the Afzal Khan story. This plot has been one of the most interesting stories in the history of Maharashtra and the viewers have always liked it, hence I am very hopeful that this track will help us pick our TRPs. I am sure with Shivaji, history will repeat itself”.
Amol even stated that he will love to take on more of Hindi ventures. The actor stated, “As of now, my complete focus is on this show and I am giving my best to it. However, if the serial still does not click with the audience then it’s a different thing. But for now I am not having any second thoughts”.
